The Neighborhood Care Center is located in the Smithville community in Cornelius. They guide neighbors towards immediate and long-term solutions through relational and faith-based programs in a hope-filled environment. They want to empower people to have a stable future and their volunteer program teams provide a listening ear and encouragement as they help individuals identify their choices and determine their next step. Their mission is to enrich the quality of life in our community by providing programs and resources that may not be otherwise available, while demonstrating the love of Christ to all people.
Founded in November, 2016, and centered out of Grace Covenant Church, The Neighborhood Care Center's programs endeavor to connect neighbors who want to help the community with those who need help. The Gear Up Bike Shop program invites kids to learn and earn bikes through completing tasks and community service.
